My ead card production ordered. I efiled on April 27th.
Rediculous, the processing times say it takes 90 days minimum. Hopefully they will give the extension from my expiry date which is Aug 28th 2008.
As USCIS is saying they will issue 2 year ead starting Jun 30. certainly I will not get a 2 year EAD.
Yes, the new EAD will be issued with a start date of your current expiration date.....

Illegal non-immigrants did the rally to local USCIS offices. It would be good if we pick one day in 2nd week of July and have a rally to local USCIS offices. This will immediately catch the media attention.

According to this post on Murthy.com at http://www.murthy.com/nflash/nf_043007.html , it looks like the LC substitution will soon be a thing of the past. How do you assess the impact of this on EB retrogression?

According to a FAQ on Murthy.com about the Yates memo, it is possible to switch jobs (using AC21) if 140 and 485 have both have been pending 180 days. Murthy doesn't advise this under normal circustances because if an RFE is received on the 140, then it is problematic if you've left the company.

On March 19, 2010, the USCIS announced revised filing instructions and addresses for applicants filing an I-131, the Application for Travel Document.
Beginning March 19, 2010 applicants will have to file their applications at the USCIS Vermont Service Center or at one of the USCIS Lockbox facilities.
If you file the I-131 at the wrong location, the USCIS Service Centers will forward it to the USCIS Lockbox facilities for 30 days, until Monday, April 19, 2010. After April 19, 2010, incorrectly filed applications will be returned to the applicant, with a note to send the application to the correct location.

The Congressional Hispanic Caucus has sent a letter to the President asking him to terminate the controversial 287(g) program that allows local police to enforce immigration laws on behalf of the Department of Homeland Security. The CHC expressed its concerns about allegations of serious civil rights violations against Hispanics as well as recent reports of poor oversight in the program. As most of you know, there is a conference call today(Sunday) at 3:00 EST. Please obtain the details of WHERE TO CALL and PASSCODE by calling 281-576-7185 if you do not have it already.
During the conference call: (The moderator would cover this but a little heads up never hurt anyone :) )
1. Please avoid using the speakerphone. It creates echo. :)
2. Press 4 * (four star) after joining the call to go on MUTE mode. When you want to speak press 4 * again and your line would be unmuted. You would help greatly by muting your line when listening to avoid the noise/sounds chiming in from about 80-100 lines.:)

The reversal that they are talking about is the July02 bulletin that said that they will not be accepting any applications as for the bulletin that came out in June for the Month of July (where the PD's were current). Nothing to worry about. Relax and continue with your filings. :)

I would like to prepare for the worst scenario that might happen in near future since I only got about two months of H1B
I didn't even know what " RFE" was until I recently received it. From my first H1B app to LC, things have gone so smoothly.. but now I am starting to realize that this could be jeopardize my whole career in U.S if I don't get approved from I140.
When I started my PERM processing last year,my lawyer made sound so easy about getting a GC that the paralegal who handles my case has never told me anything about" if things goes wrong",which I am afraid that it might be happen soon...
If I get denied from I140, Is there a way to extend my H1B ? or any other way to keep my job in U.S legally ? Could anyone give me some advice ?
