I doubt how effective a letter campaign would be.

We did letter campaign's couple of times and it didn't bring any coverage or change.

I still believe a clock (backward or distorted) is a good idea.


I agree that calculator /flower campaign can fail. But poster (actually pamphlet) and letter campaign will cost only 41 cents stamp from us.

Hi Tina,

Do you know any employer or recruiting agency (in NY) who can help sponsoring physical therapists for 140 & 485.

I got a NY work permit and got my crdentials evaluated but unfortunately that emplyer is no longer having job vacancy. Now I am stuck and don't know if I can get benefit from some other employer.

Any input would be greatly helpful.


Are there any Schedule A professionals who are filing this July?

Any ideas/news you can share?

Any ideas for those stuck in 40 days employer posting requirements, that will end sometime in August.

OK here is a question.
Person working for past 4 years in the US.
Applied LC this February (2/26/07)
wants to go to canada, work there for a year and then reenter may be next year.
According to the new point based GC system--
1) Will the person get points for the 4 years of work in the US? (those 4 years were continuous, however, the person applies for GC after the canadian break of lets say 1 year)

If anybody thinks that he can file a lawsuit against EB3 to EB2 porting , and he will win , I am pretty sure he is wrong , He is just talking from his heart.

EB3 is screwed, and we have nothing other than hope , Wait Wait Wait.

This is specifically for those people who have never contributed but feel like contributing but for some reason hesitate to pull the trigger. For all such people who start a monthly contribution of $50 and promise (not to me or anyone else but themselves) to keep contributing for at least the next 6 months, I am going to make a one-time contribution of $50 for every such person. I have a modest upper limit, which I will disclose after the first 10 new contributors.

So people, Sept 18th is approaching fast and IV needs your contribution. Now is the time.

This is great thinking and wonderful initiative. It is a lesson how we all can be creative and help others motivate. It reminds of a story. There were two teams US and Japanese. They each were divided into two groups each and made to stand facing each other. There was a imaginary line drawn and the goal of each team is to convince their team members on the other side of the line to cross over. US Team were never able to convince their team members to cross over and move to other side.
Japanese simply said to their team members on other side.. If you cross over we will also cross over.. and they won. As simple as it may sound here is a classic example shown by Milind. You rock Milind.
And you make me feel proud in being associated with you in this struggle for our cause.

When the USCIS is doing mistake, we need to ask for fee waiver. If they are nog giving, we should not hesitate to take them to court and make them pay for it. Even one time if we can succeed it will make all the difference.

Ok - any ideas how we can ask? What fee waiver are we asking for?

We need to understand if there is a system in place for fee waiver?

To get any favourable thing like getting fee back and such things, first thing is that they have to officially accept that they are doing this and that is the most difficult part. You cannot get them to talk so easily.

Breaking the law is not acceptable - it can be from all sides, but when you deal with govt agency - it is not easy - there is a lot of beurocracy associated and it is not that easy as we all think it is.

I understand the frustration among the community - but we must all collective channelize our frustratons into something constructive, positive and effective.

thats why we need innovative ideas to deal with this.

Come on EB2, EB3 - US MAsters, US Phds, EB1s , scientists, doctors, engineers, consultants, and all those ivy leagures - can you use your IQ and brains to help wiith these issues? Please post some ideas here.
